I have a new indicator needle for my speedometer, naturally it came with NO directions. Can anyone enlighten me on how to remove the old needle and install the new. Also any special way of cleaning the lens so not too scratch it as well as the housing. Thanks in advance........:)

My guess is, the needle is just pressed on. Grab the shaft with needle nose pliers, and pull the needle off with two fingers.

I just twisted mine back counterclockwise past "0" and it popped right off.
Be careful not to break anything though I don't know how durable that shaft is.

The needle is held unto the post with light tension. I would use finger tips, pinch needle at base by post and pull straight off. Needle nose pliers etc. can chip off the paint or disform. To re-intsall a speedometer rebuild shop advised me to push needle onto post with finger tips at the 60mph point and turn back to 0mph. I follwed there recommedation and it work fine. The plastice polish as mentioned earlier works great. My lens had a small crack so replaced it with a repo. The replacement lens needed a bit of filling to fit, but what repo doesn't. It also did not have a hole for clock knob (my clock is in the console so it didn't matter), but is not exactly like original lens this way.

Carefull with the guage faces. You can ruin them with a quick spray of window cleaner and a rag. Only brush the dust off with a soft brush. I would repaint the other needles so they match your new one. Caution orange from a spray can works good. Use a brush to paint the needles while in place on the guage.
