I have a question for you guys. I am pretty much a novice at replacing brake cylinders and I have a '65 Chevelle 4dr Sedan. My uncle, who has a lot of auto repair experience, showed me how to replace the wheel cylinder on one of the front brake cylinders. He let me replace the one on the other side. After he inspected my work, he bled the brakes. I notice that brake fluid is leaking at the bottom of the brake backing plate. I have not had the chance to remove the wheel and look at it, but I think that I may have gotten a defective new brake wheel cylinder. Do you think this is possible?
What do I need to look for to determine if it is the wheel cylinder leaking? I bought the replacement wheel cylinders from Autozone and the wheel cylinder, which is leaking (I think), is the left front drum brake. Thanks for any and all suggestions.
