i have to change the glove box lock on my 67 chevelle malibu but can't figure out how to get the old one out can someone help thanks

I think those use a special tool. Try a short piece of heater hose. Push the end up against the outside bezel while holding the lock cylinder from the inside with your other hand.

I did my 66 yesterday.My two forefingers can prove it.I took the bolts outa the front panel ,bezel,from the rear.Then I unscrewed the lock bezel from the front and lock was out.I had to carefully put pliers to the outside ring on the lock to get it started.
