I picked up a stud girdle for my son's 327, we will be running the old 462 casting doublt hump heads with a CC extreme energy solid 268 cam. These heads have the regular press in studs, although I've pinned studs in the past I was just thinking of running the girdle instead to avoid stud pull out. I could have the heads machined for screw ins but this is budget build that is getting expensive. Is there any problems with running the girdle with stamped long slot rockers? The poly locks are a smaller diameter than the original type locking nuts but I don't see that as being a problem as long as the pivot ball is being held at the right height on the stud. Any body ever run a girdle with stamped rockers? If it won't work I guess I'll pin them.

I run a stud girdle(crane)..but I use roller rockers...I dont see why stamped rockers wouldn't work

Thanks Jim, I can't see a problem either. Trial assembly will tell if there is any interference problems but I doubt it. However I do see regular polylocks available designed for use with stock rockers and they have a wider diameter and that's what got me wonderin. Bob
