Posted this in Wheels and Tires but nothing:

Would a 29X11.5X15 slick (MT or Hoosier) fit on a 71 with 5.5" of BS? If they won't fit, would a 10.5 with the same rim? No modifications have been done, so its a stock quarter. Also, any opinions on brands? Thanks in advance, it is going to be an early Christmas present for myself :D graemlins/thumbsup.gif

A 5" bs hits the shock bracket on an early Chevelle rear. I would figure that a 5.5" would hit the later rear shock bracket.

A 15x10 rim with 5.5" BS will fit fine. I run those on my 68 Elky. I also run 28x10.5 MT slicks with no clearance issues. A 29x11.5 might be cutting it close, but the height of your car will make a difference. Mine is quite a bit lower than stock, so I doubt they would fit on mine. If yours is stovk height, they will most likely fit.
