Has anyone purchased a set of Pro-Topline heads for sbc recently? If so, where did you get them? Where you happy with them?

Last I heard, they were sold and had possible qc issues. Not sure on any of the issues now though.

Seem like a good head for the prices advertised.

sometimes when the price seems to beat all the rest, you lose something somehwere along the way. IMO, you'd be better off getting Dart, AFR, Canfield, or Trick Flow. this is from personal firsthand experience with P/T, and now a Dart Pro 1 user.

I bought some last November or December. They are 200cc aluminum heads for sbc. I bought them from Powerhouse, they usually have an ad in Hot Rod and Car Craft every month.

I dont have much run time on them so I cant tell anything about longevity, but overall I am happy with them so far. The only problem I had was that one of temp senders holes wasnt tapped right but that was easily fixed with a pipe tap. The quality looks good overall to me, good casting and assembly as far as I can tell. The only thing I didnt care for is the fact that the bolt holes for the headers were not hei coiled, just tapped into raw alluminum. Seemed to me that those threads would wear out over time so for my own piece of mind I installed heli coils wich cost $30- $40. Also had to clearance my Hooker headers for spark plug clearance, but I understand that is the case with most aftermarket alluminum heads.

Hope this helps!

My guides were shot after 4000miles and I had two cracks in my 200cc 64cc Iron Lightenings. The performance hasn't been where it's expected with the heads/cam. It's a Harold Lunati solid cam and a Holley Stealth Ram.......... hmmmmm?
