Looks pretty staightfoward, drop the pan, unplug it and unbolt it, replace it. Is there anything else I should know in the way of tips or warnings? Thanks.

Thanks a lot Chris (forgot to say DOWNSHIFT solenoid so I'm glad you knew what I meant! LOL). I have 12 volts to the gas pedal switch and I can hear the solenoid "click" when key is on and I depress throtlle switch but does not downshift on the road when driving so I'm taking an educated guess. It's the same work to drop the pan and test the solenoid so they're cheap so I guess I'll just replace it and cross my fingers. Trans works fine when manually downshifting, but I like that "passing gear" rush!

Make sure that you're testing it by pushing the gas pedal and not just by activating the switch at the pedal. In some cases the pedal linkage doesn't push the switch far enough.

if the original swith is the tin can closed type be sure to remove and discard and not reinstall the aluminum gasket that goes between the switch and the seperator plate.save yourself some headaches and dont install a cork pan gasket usa durapreme .torque the 13 bolts to 150 "to 175 " lbs.
