Did the emergency flasher button on the steering column start in 1967? Did Chevelles have emergency flashers prior to 1967?
Thanks

Thanks Tod :beers: anychevy Apr 20th, 07, 1:37 AM Pre 67 it was was optional and 67 onwards it was mandatory, pretty sure ? Shelly Apr 20th, 07, 2:20 AM I'm not shure, but I know my 64 and my uncle's 65 don't have flashers Philip Apr 21st, 07, 2:33 PM 67 was the first install on the column. Prior to that it was a large unit mounted to an under dash bracket or a hole drilled in the dash. It had a big red plastic knob that flashed when the unit was on. These were not factory installed to the best of my knowledge. 6malibu6 Apr 22nd, 07, 12:24 PM My '66 has no emergency flashers at all. I'm looking to replace the auto column with a 4-speed tilt column and don't know if I can find one w/o the emergency flasher button. Tod Apr 22nd, 07, 3:11 PM Thanks to all:thumbsup: Looks like I have a 67' dash and a 67' steering column in my 66'. Thanks Tod :beers: |
