I've got a SBC with a Holley Carb(no #s on the Carb though). My question is this my car smokes like hell while idling, I believe the engine has a mild cam installed. Its using a Malloy Unilite Distributor w/no Vacuum Advance.
I no vacuum lines running to the Carb its a doule feed Carb w/ one large hose in the rear and two small nossels in the front All are blocked off. Does this setup affect my Power Valve and would It be the cause of my smoking problem. I have manuel brakes and Auto Trans as well.

no, this won't be the cause of the smoking and will not affect the PV. THose hoses don't supply vacuum to the carb, the carb supplies vacuum to them.

What color is the smoke? Choices are blue, black and white.

Does the Holley carb have a choke horn? On the front of the choke horn on the drivers side is the number, it'll say LIST xxxx usually a 4 digit number replaces the x's. Does it have accelerator pumps front and rear? Post a pic?

Tom here are two pictures of my Carb. The Smoke is Blue to white its kinda hard to pick a color, smells real bad, gas/oil.Front jets are # 72 I could not find any jets on the rear side of the carb.

Hey Tony;
You will not find rear jets, that carb has a plate on the rear instead of a metering block, the plate is somewhere equivalent to 75 jets. Are you using a PVC??? if not, try installing one from the valve cover to the large vacuum port on the rear of the carb, (3/8"hose) also make sure you have a baffle under the hole you are going to use in the valve cover to prevent oil from being sucked up.
