I had kind of an odd setup on my 68 chevelle. I had a holley 4165 (spreadbore) on a Holley street dominator single plane intake manifold( how old is this??). I now run the same intake with a holley 4150 750 cfm Dbl pumper and a carb adapter. I Picked up a ton of lower torque with this set up.
But now I'm wondering if I need to change intakes. Another posibility would be to delete the adapter,( since the intake has dual patern for square/ spreabbore.)
The heads are orig. GM oval port heads from a 265 hp police engine 396. It has a hotter cam but im not sure on the specs(sorry).
If it is time for a new intake what are some options. I've been looking and I like the RPM and air gap from ededlbrock or a slealth from weiand since they have a higher rpm range.
The car is for cruise ins and every now and then a trip to the track
