Im not home so I cant really check anything and Id like to pick up my parts on the way home from work. I was reading about the keyways with offsets and how they produce different TQ/ HP. I guess this falls under retarding the cam and whatnot, I think I just need standard keys. MR.GASKET makes # 983G There are 2 keys right? One for the timing gear and one for the balancer? Are they the same size keys, because this is the only part number I can find... Ive never messed with these before

Yeah, I just need the crank key for the timing gear. I bought one that said it would fit but its like twice as big! The SBC one looked like it would fit. Any ideas/ part numbers.... big help smile.gif Shouldnt my crank kit have come with new keys?

Call your local machine shop, they should have the part on hand or be able to get it for you.

Any machine shop or parts house should have them but they are very expensive,,, about .25 cents :D

And no they don't always come with a crank or crank kit ;)
