I am going to run my HEI power wire through the bulkhead. I do not have a tach but would like to run a wire along with the HEI power wire (or any other wires I need) for future use.

How did factory tachs get wired in a 70'? Through the bulkhead? What color and gage wire?

70,s with a factory tach were wired through a seperate place on the firewall. factory wire was a 16g (i think) brown.

Right near the wiper motor. Pics have been posted before of the exact location, try searching for them.
