O.K. I called my local PPG supplier and they can only mix shadow gray in the shopline paint line. I would like to use a better quailty paint anybody have any recommendations. I have local shop that uses BASF paint any opinions on this paint and what # would they use for shadow Grey. For coverage purpose I also used a gray primer from SPI! should I use a Black sealer or will gray work fine?
thanks

BASF makes two major lines of paint, diamont and glasurit. Diamont would be comparable to the DBC line and glasurit is their top dog, some of the best paint around.
The reason they cant mix it in DBC is because the code is not in their library for DBC. That does not mean it can not be mixed in DBC thou.

You can also sand nibs and orange peel out too, if you need to. Use 600 grit dry to sand it, but make sure that it is good and dry before you try to scuff it, ot it will smear. Be sure to put at least two more coats of base on after you scuff it to cover the sand scratches. I usually go 2 or 3 coats of base, scuff it and go two more coats with a mist coat to even my metallics.
