Hi, my low beams work fine but when I switch to high beams my right side low beam goes off. High beams work good but the one low beam goes out. I have replaced the floor switch and tightened grounds. Anyone point me in the right direction / thanks

Check the grounds again, where they bolt to the rad support and at the bulb connectors. Use a star washer, it helps make a good connection where it bolts to rad support. For the bulb connectors, you may have to take them apart, clean them and squeeze the connector so they fit tightly on the bulbs. make sure you have the small ground wire from the battery to the fender.

are you sure the high beam filiment in the low beam bulb is good? thats why theres 3 prongs on the low beam, just buy a new bulb and see if that works. Jim

My vote goes to the bulb. The outers have 2 filaments: one for high and another for low. Of course they do not have to burn out at the same time.

I found that most of my weird light problems were due to poor grounding. One burned out bulb cured the rest. When you are only dealing with 12 volts, it doesn't take much to give you trouble.

I assumed the bulb was good because it worked on low. you know what happens when you assume - I had a bad bulb. Thank you
