If the rods have been resized but new bolts needed is it possible to torque the new bolts in and run them through the rod hone or do you need to regrind the cap again?
thanks

Jester,
Usually you have to cut the cap and rod a little. It is so easy to do, you have the bolts out anyway, that its not worth taking the chance. If you try it without cutting them, and you have to take them back apart, you spend ust as much time anyway :)

I agree with Bill. At this point it's not worth cutting corners. Especially with the hp you were talking about making on a stock rod.

I agree with Bill and by time you are done putting new rod bolts in a set of OLD RODS it may have been cheeper to go with a new set of Scat rods.
