Hey I just put on a one wire alternator (summit part# PWM27294).. am I cool with just the one wire going to the positive terminal...and if this all works what should I do about the "gen" light being on... should I just disconect the dummy light, and the old regulator... thanks

1 wire alternators arn't the greatest, see reasons here http://www.madelectrical.com/electricaltech/onewire-threewire.shtml
If you are going to keep the 1 wire, get a voltmeter. 14-14.5 is normal voltage, anything less than 13, the alternator is not working and you are running off battery.

Many single wire units have 2 extra terminals to able a 3 wire configuration.
