well, i know this isnt really performance, but i couldnt figure out where else to put it. my friend cant powerbrake/burnout his car. let me give you some back round on the car.

350 (internals unknown) with a Edel RPM manifold, stock exhaust manifold running into 2inch duals with an H-pipe and flowmaster that dump out under the rear end. he's running 255/15 goodyear eagles out back. he has a powerglide and manual drums all around.

now, this car obviously has more power than my 305, its got a lot more umph in it. it will do a powerbrake in reverse, but not in drive. my 305/TH350/power disk brakes will powerbrake with ease. we have no idea if it has posi, which is why we were intially trying to powerbrake the car.

we're trying to figure out why this car wont powerbrake. my car will sit there and burn em all day, and his just feels like it wants to go but wont burn them, if he releases the brake, the car just goes, no chirps whatsoever.

Block the front tires on your friends car, jack up the rearend. Spin one tire by hand with the car in neutral. If the wheels spin the same direction it's a posi, it they turn opposite directions its a pegleg. Just tell your friend its better his car can't power brake, you dont want to do em all the time because your tires wear out way too quickly and when you get over it and do the powerbrakes once in a blue moon that one time you decide to there's an officer parked just down the street that you hadn't noticed.

One reason is the PG..it would be like you trying to power brake in 2nd gear(almost) His First gear ratio is like 1.72-1...yours is like 2.52-1 and depending on the rear gears..that makes a BIG difference

Not to be off topic, but I wish my car had that problem....
