My interior is mostly the same shade of red, except the dash & steering column which are a much brighter red. Is this correct?
I'm dismantling my dash to detail it and add factory style gauges. This would be a good time to paint the dash if I need to make it 'more correct'.
The carpet & mats are a brighter red as well, but every other red part is the darker red, like; seats, headliner, dash pad, door panels, cowl vents.
I've also purchased a Billet specialties steering wheel with the half wrap. I've dyed the leather wrap a bright red to match the dash and I'm not happy with it. I have SEMS paint and vinyl dye, the one and only red they offer for 67, coming.
How did 67 Red interiors come? How should the console be painted? I'd like to get as close as possible to original.
The picture isn't the greatest, but here it is anyway.
