Getting ready to order my new clutch, any body use a Zoom street/strip clutch?Or should I go dual friction?Looking for a good clutch but I do way more cruisin than racing.LS-5 making about 440 hp,M-22 3.73 Moser posi.Dragstrip once every other year on street radials.Must have a fairly easy pedal as I am an old fart that drives a semi shifting several thousand times a day and want an easy pedal when I get out of the truck and into the car. Thanks for all replies.

Please consider...

I just installed an 11" stock diaphram type ZOOM from Summit today.

It is made by Perfection and came with new, not rebuilt, everything!! P/P, C/P, T/O/B, plastic alignment tool and bronze H-D pilot bushing..

$99.95 plus $8.95 handling!

I have used 2 Zoom stock replacement 11" diaphram clutches and one 12" truck clutch. All have worked very well, the truck one has almost 20K on it in a '77 GMC 1-ton dual-cab, has only needed adjustment once. Not too shabby for lugging around nearly 7000lb on a daily basis.

And I glazed a 11" stock diaphram with slicks, so I'll never use anything less than a CF dual. They can chatter at times, but if you saw the 15K mile unit I took out (when swithced to 26 spline input ), you'd never consider any other street clutch. The disc looked perfect. Sure it's twice as much as the HD stock one, but I don't prefer changing clutches in less than 1000 miles.

It could have been a fluck with me, or a bad clutch altogether.

Someone here mentioned another clutch, Clutchmaster, I beleive, that seemed to have all the clamping of the CF with great ease of operation. So there is another clutch that will rival the CF, but they're both $250+.

With the CF you need a freshly ground flywheel, else they'll chatter. Heck they can chatter when hot at times regardless.

I have a zoom in the 68
I only cruise with it
there is a truck clutch in the 69 it is a little harder to push but not bad though
I have less than 500 miles on the 68
but the 69 has about 20k on it
they both work good
