finished up the wiring in my dash and got a connector that im not sure where it goes... it's got a white and an orange wire in it. it does fit on the nuetral safety switch block on the column, but not sure if it really goes there,, here's a pic:

If I remember correctly it go to the center console, it powers the light in the rear of the console. The orange wiring is a constant hot, and the white wiring is ground that is completed by the door jamb pin switches.

might add,, this is for a '69 chevelle...
i was looking on the diagram and it went to a left side courtesy lamp,, but would it be mounted off the same spot as the NSS on the column like that?
also, i dont have a center console

Looks like this is for the console rear courtesy light like morecubes said. Also this would be for a 4-speed as an auto console would have the third pin populated with a grey wire for the console shift indicator panel lights. This connector should come out of the harness with the stop/backup/ignition/NSS connectors. It does not go on the NSS. Some underdash harnesses had this weather you ordered the optional console or not.
