Hi group. I am having a small problem with the stereo we put in the wifes 66. Everything works fune except for the tuner reception. I put a power antenna in the trunk and had to use an extension cable from the radio which is in the factory location to the trunk. I have not done any troubleshooting yet but one thing that occured to me is I used an extension cable I got from James Hinshaw that I am thinking was for am only. Could this be the problem? Everything else works with the head unit so I am thinking it is something simple. Any advice is appreciated as always.

Well there is no difference in the extension cable between AM & FM.
I think I would grab another antenna and plug it in to see if that is the problem.

Problem solved. The cable was not connected to the antenna assembly all the way. I did not notice it until I got to poking around.
