Just throwing the idea out there. I haven't emailed them or anything. I just saw that it worked pretty well in the past.

I'd love to have a set of their rear upper adjustable and tubular lower control arms.

Anyone looking to spend some money? graemlins/waving.gif

Moderator: is there any way we could get this thread to "stick" to the top, so that this could be viewed regularly over the next few days?

I'm going to send BMR an email tonite to see if I can get a bite or specifics on it.

Just a couple clarification questions.
I am getting ready to start piecing together my suspension.

What company is BMR?
Do they have a website I can check out?
Thanks. :D

I'd be in for a G-body sway bar, and maybe some QA-1 stocker star's for the front end.

I might go for it. Is this is the right setup to use with the HR PARTSNSTUFF roll bar?

I'm interested in the upper and lower control arms for my 66 Chevelle... But I'm also going to install Air Ride on my car, they also make these control arms... Anyone have experience with theirs?

Are the BMR control arms better than AirRide's ?

Wow. Now that's what I'm talkin' 'bout. I emailed BMR and this is what I got:

"Sorry we do not offer any GP's or sales directly we let our 30+ distributors handle them. Here is a link to our distributor page http://www.bmrfabrication.com/distributors.htm . I suggest giving a couple of them calls to see about pricing and quantities and go from there."

Thanks,
Frank Steadman

SOOO, I'm going to see about emailing a BMR distributor that is centrally located (as possible) in the U.S. That might be a little more fair, in regards to shipping, for all of us.

Anyone that has any questions regarding the quality or workings of the BMR products, just do a search in the "Performance" and "Brakes and Suspension" sections using 'BMR' as the search word. Plenty of stuff available. I may make a separate post regarding their sway bars, as I don't think it's been covered before.

SOOOOOOO, get out and do some research guys. See if BMR stuff is for you. Stay in touch and keep 'em coming. I'm going to see what I can do.

BMR makes good stuff. I have a set of their lower control arms on two of my cars and love them!

I have a set of double adjustable uppers and the lowers. They make a VERY high quality product at a VERY reasable price. They are cheaper, and better in my opinion, product than both Hotchkis and Edelbrock. I'm installing the LCA's and UCA's in my 78 Malibu this weekend, and will have plenty of pictures to share.

If so, im in for them and a set of LCA's

I dont intend to go "off topic", but I've checked around and I read that people switch from BMR control arms to Global West control arms...

I want to get the best ones for my car, does anyone have any experience or knowledge about BMR vs GW, or BMR vs Air Ride Strong Arms?

Check this thread on a different forum --> http://www.impalassforum.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=16;t=002643

I just want to be sure I get the right ones redface.gif )

I emailed MTI of Houston, TX. No response yet, but I'll keep you guys posted. I picked them, as they were the most centrally located shop that I've heard of.

I checked out the thread on the Impala forum. Interesting, however, I will point out that the topic was right at a year old. Most of the guys said that BMR shipped them out replacement stuff ASAP that seemed to be revised/upgraded. I've never heard of any A-body problems concerning this. Maybe all of those issues are straightened out.

Any other takers?

BTW, anyone know if a GM F41 7/8" rear sway bar will fit on the BMR lower control arms?

Justin

If you're asking if the stock type A-body rear sway bar fits the BMR arms...YES.
I have the BMR rear tubulars and a stock rear sway bar on one of mine, needed a few washers for spacers but that's not uncommon. It's a great set up.
I'm tempted to get another set for another car but I was trying to use parts I had on-hand and already have the rear suspension done, now you're tempting me with BMR's :D

Well, not so good news. No word from the Houston distributor and I got this from BMR themselves:

"Yes our policies were changed, due to the fact that we felt it is not a good business practice to undercut our distributors."

Thanks,
BMR

graemlins/sad.gif I may shop around for a while to see what other products are out there. Don't know what else to tell you guys. Sorry if I led everybody on a wild goose chase. redface.gif

I took it upon myself to call a distributer down south and he said that he would honor a group purchase on BMR stuff. He is checking pricing, and will call me on Monday with some quotes. I'm in for a set of upper and lower rear arms and a sway bar.

I'll keep you posted.....

Okay guys, here is the deal.... One of BMR's distributers in Florida is offering us a group discount on BMR purchases. Please ask for Joe at Vinci Performance when you call (407-292-4500) , and mention the Team Chevelle group purchase. You can even mention "Mark from New Jersey", and he'll know to give you the 10% off retail price discount. It's actually a pretty good deal when you spend a few bucks. Please post any experiences you have with them, and what you ordered. My phone calls seemed to go very well, and they seem like great guys.

I'm still in the market for the sway bar. Just give me a little time to get it done. It's all about timing now, I've got the desire but no money. :D

I have the BMR adjustable uppers , Global West tubes on the lowers and the HRPARTS anti roll bar on the rear. I have adjusted the uppers to -4 degrees pinion angle and with the anti roll bar the 60 foots are in the 1.50 range now. (with a 4000 lb car) If you buy the anti roll bar you will not be disappointed with it whether you have the BMR stuff or not. I will go out on a limb and say If I would have bought the HR part bar I would not have spent the money on the arms Otherthan to make the suspension more bullet proof.

I just ordered my BMR upper and lower control arms with Joe @ Vinci High Performance. Uppers and lowers were 129 per pair and the bar was 169. All less the 10% for mentioning the group puchase.

I Just put a call into Vinci Racing. I will be ordering adjustable upper control arms, lower control arms and a rear sway bar (if they are currently available). I also asked about the availability of poly body mount bushings for a convertible. I'll be placing my order after they call me back.

My 700R-4 went out a few weeks ago. That's going to set me back about 3 months, at least. Looks like my suspension plans are on hold. graemlins/sad.gif
