: Anyone interested in a group BMR purchase?
70_FathomBlueMalibu Oct 5th, 04, 5:17 PM Just throwing the idea out there. I haven't emailed them or anything. I just saw that it worked pretty well in the past.
I'd love to have a set of their rear upper adjustable and tubular lower control arms.
Anyone looking to spend some money? graemlins/waving.gif
70_FathomBlueMalibu Oct 5th, 04, 11:53 PM Moderator: is there any way we could get this thread to "stick" to the top, so that this could be viewed regularly over the next few days?
I'm going to send BMR an email tonite to see if I can get a bite or specifics on it.
68SS454 Oct 6th, 04, 7:30 PM Just a couple clarification questions.
I am getting ready to start piecing together my suspension.
What company is BMR?
Do they have a website I can check out?
Thanks. :D

I'd be in for a G-body sway bar, and maybe some QA-1 stocker star's for the front end.
Hockey8720 Oct 7th, 04, 1:56 AM im interested in the rear upper and lowers, possibly shocks. does anyone know how the quality of these compares to the edelbrock or hotchkis pieces?
DAnny
70 Elco Joe Oct 7th, 04, 3:26 AM I'd be in for a set of adjustable uppers and tubular lowers if this was to happen.
hilljack Oct 7th, 04, 3:53 AM I might go for it. Is this is the right setup to use with the HR PARTSNSTUFF roll bar?
67-468 Oct 7th, 04, 6:13 AM I may be interested in a front sway bar for my 67.
E34M5 Oct 7th, 04, 6:20 AM I'm interested in the upper and lower control arms for my 66 Chevelle... But I'm also going to install Air Ride on my car, they also make these control arms... Anyone have experience with theirs?
Are the BMR control arms better than AirRide's ?
70_FathomBlueMalibu Oct 7th, 04, 6:48 AM Wow. Now that's what I'm talkin' 'bout. I emailed BMR and this is what I got:
"Sorry we do not offer any GP's or sales directly we let our 30+ distributors handle them. Here is a link to our distributor page http://www.bmrfabrication.com/distributors.htm . I suggest giving a couple of them calls to see about pricing and quantities and go from there."
Thanks,
Frank Steadman
BMR Sales Manager
SOOO, I'm going to see about emailing a BMR distributor that is centrally located (as possible) in the U.S. That might be a little more fair, in regards to shipping, for all of us.
Anyone that has any questions regarding the quality or workings of the BMR products, just do a search in the "Performance" and "Brakes and Suspension" sections using 'BMR' as the search word. Plenty of stuff available. I may make a separate post regarding their sway bars, as I don't think it's been covered before.
SOOOOOOO, get out and do some research guys. See if BMR stuff is for you. Stay in touch and keep 'em coming. I'm going to see what I can do.
trimless Oct 7th, 04, 9:17 AM BMR makes good stuff. I have a set of their lower control arms on two of my cars and love them!
SS_Sean Oct 7th, 04, 10:19 AM I have a set of double adjustable uppers and the lowers. They make a VERY high quality product at a VERY reasable price. They are cheaper, and better in my opinion, product than both Hotchkis and Edelbrock. I'm installing the LCA's and UCA's in my 78 Malibu this weekend, and will have plenty of pictures to share.
68SS454 Oct 7th, 04, 11:18 AM Hopefully they have/carry the QA1 R-shocks.....
If so, im in for them and a set of LCA's
AB chev Oct 7th, 04, 1:26 PM Count me in! I need uppers/lowers and a sway bar.
E34M5 Oct 7th, 04, 6:38 PM I dont intend to go "off topic", but I've checked around and I read that people switch from BMR control arms to Global West control arms...
I want to get the best ones for my car, does anyone have any experience or knowledge about BMR vs GW, or BMR vs Air Ride Strong Arms?
Check this thread on a different forum --> http://www.impalassforum.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=16;t=002643
I just want to be sure I get the right ones redface.gif )
BillsCamino Oct 7th, 04, 6:54 PM I installed BMR rear adjustable uppers and lowers in my '70.
Good stuff! graemlins/thumbsup.gif
I've got the adjustable uppers and tubular lowers in my '72. So far so good!
Ralph67 Oct 7th, 04, 10:29 PM Let me know i love the uppers for a 67.
70_FathomBlueMalibu Oct 8th, 04, 4:50 PM I emailed MTI of Houston, TX. No response yet, but I'll keep you guys posted. I picked them, as they were the most centrally located shop that I've heard of.
I checked out the thread on the Impala forum. Interesting, however, I will point out that the topic was right at a year old. Most of the guys said that BMR shipped them out replacement stuff ASAP that seemed to be revised/upgraded. I've never heard of any A-body problems concerning this. Maybe all of those issues are straightened out.
Any other takers?
BTW, anyone know if a GM F41 7/8" rear sway bar will fit on the BMR lower control arms?
oregonchevelle Oct 10th, 04, 9:29 PM I would be interested in a set of adjustable rear upper control arms.
70_FathomBlueMalibu Oct 11th, 04, 5:48 AM I'm hoping to hear back on something by the end of Monday or Tuesday. Stay tuned.
chevl71 Oct 11th, 04, 7:59 AM Justin
If you're asking if the stock type A-body rear sway bar fits the BMR arms...YES.
I have the BMR rear tubulars and a stock rear sway bar on one of mine, needed a few washers for spacers but that's not uncommon. It's a great set up.
I'm tempted to get another set for another car but I was trying to use parts I had on-hand and already have the rear suspension done, now you're tempting me with BMR's :D
70_FathomBlueMalibu Oct 12th, 04, 2:17 AM Well, not so good news. No word from the Houston distributor and I got this from BMR themselves:
"Yes our policies were changed, due to the fact that we felt it is not a good business practice to undercut our distributors."
Thanks,
BMR
graemlins/sad.gif I may shop around for a while to see what other products are out there. Don't know what else to tell you guys. Sorry if I led everybody on a wild goose chase. redface.gif
mark2002 Oct 15th, 04, 10:11 PM I took it upon myself to call a distributer down south and he said that he would honor a group purchase on BMR stuff. He is checking pricing, and will call me on Monday with some quotes. I'm in for a set of upper and lower rear arms and a sway bar.
I'll keep you posted.....
70_FathomBlueMalibu Oct 15th, 04, 10:32 PM There ya go guys!
Thanks for taking the extra effort, Mark. smile.gif
69bowty Oct 16th, 04, 6:41 PM I would be interested in a set of adjustable uppers.
onebadd66 Oct 17th, 04, 10:08 AM Count me in for uppers. graemlins/thumbsup.gif
MY VELLE (http://www.chevelles.com/showroom/onebadd66/DSCF0010.JPG)
mark2002 Oct 18th, 04, 9:44 PM Okay guys, here is the deal.... One of BMR's distributers in Florida is offering us a group discount on BMR purchases. Please ask for Joe at Vinci Performance when you call (407-292-4500) , and mention the Team Chevelle group purchase. You can even mention "Mark from New Jersey", and he'll know to give you the 10% off retail price discount. It's actually a pretty good deal when you spend a few bucks. Please post any experiences you have with them, and what you ordered. My phone calls seemed to go very well, and they seem like great guys.
mark2002 Oct 20th, 04, 10:51 PM Has anyone ordered anything, or is the 10% deal not sweet enough?
bigblockelky Oct 22nd, 04, 4:48 PM ide be in for a set of adjustable uppers and tubular lowers, but whats the price with 10% off?
mark2002 Oct 22nd, 04, 5:11 PM you have to call them yourself, and mention the Team Chevelle group purchase.
mark2002 Oct 25th, 04, 10:34 PM Has anyone called yet? I told this guy that a few of us would be calling with orders, and it seems like this thread died !
SS_Sean Oct 26th, 04, 12:56 AM I'm still in the market for the sway bar. Just give me a little time to get it done. It's all about timing now, I've got the desire but no money. :D
jakejake66 Oct 26th, 04, 8:51 PM I could use sway bars and shocks......
RACEBUICKS Oct 26th, 04, 10:09 PM I have the BMR adjustable uppers , Global West tubes on the lowers and the HRPARTS anti roll bar on the rear. I have adjusted the uppers to -4 degrees pinion angle and with the anti roll bar the 60 foots are in the 1.50 range now. (with a 4000 lb car) If you buy the anti roll bar you will not be disappointed with it whether you have the BMR stuff or not. I will go out on a limb and say If I would have bought the HR part bar I would not have spent the money on the arms Otherthan to make the suspension more bullet proof.
I would be interested in their aak001 kit. Thanks, dbm
mark2002 Nov 1st, 04, 5:01 PM I just ordered my BMR upper and lower control arms with Joe @ Vinci High Performance. Uppers and lowers were 129 per pair and the bar was 169. All less the 10% for mentioning the group puchase.
407-292-4500 or email sales@vincihighperformance.com
Fastrust70 Nov 4th, 04, 12:17 PM I'd be interested in a rear kit.
wes migletz Nov 4th, 04, 1:24 PM I Just put a call into Vinci Racing. I will be ordering adjustable upper control arms, lower control arms and a rear sway bar (if they are currently available). I also asked about the availability of poly body mount bushings for a convertible. I'll be placing my order after they call me back.
blown66beaumont Nov 7th, 04, 6:35 PM e34m5
i also am looking at the air ride tech suspension system, i dont know if we would get a deal being only 2 strong.
i have the whole front and rear suspension to do!
wyatt Nov 10th, 04, 4:14 AM Michael (RACEBUICS) could you give me a link or website I could look up the HR Parts anti roll bar? Can't seem to find it. Thanks.

mark2002 Nov 18th, 04, 10:43 PM Wes, did you place your order? Did anyone else take advantage of the group purchase discount?
70_FathomBlueMalibu Nov 19th, 04, 2:42 AM My 700R-4 went out a few weeks ago. That's going to set me back about 3 months, at least. Looks like my suspension plans are on hold. graemlins/sad.gif
Hope some other took advantage of the savings.
Ralph67 Nov 24th, 04, 2:09 PM Wow $129 for uppers i gotta try and find some extra coin with xmas coming and get a set! How long will Vinci carry the sale for? Ralph
Ralph67 Nov 24th, 04, 2:12 PM Was the $129 for adj or solid uppers?
MY FYN 79 Nov 25th, 04, 10:29 AM I ordered 2 pairs of relocation brackets for G-bodies from Vinci last Friday and they honored the GP yet.
Seem like nice guys! graemlins/thumbsup.gif
mark2002 Nov 25th, 04, 9:49 PM Ralph, The $129 was for the fixed uppers.
