I have a 1970 Custom El Camino with a factory stereo speaker setup. I was looking at the passenger's side bracket and all I see is a metal thing with two tabs sticking straight up. I cant picture a speaker attaching just to that; is there supposed to be two pieces to it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Shawn, these pictures might help. These are from my '72 but your '70 should be the same.

I can dig out my speakers and take a better picture if you need.

Thanks Jeff, those pictures help a lot. When I bought the car it had no speakers in it so that's why I was wondering. I also looked at Original Parts Group's high performance replacements and in their picture of them in the catalog they're round and that's what threw me off.
