there is a thin piece of trunk that runs from one fender to the other. It is just above and behind the trunk lock mechanism and welded to the trunk pan and forms the lower lip for the trunk weather stip. Does any after market company make this piece. I purchased 3 cars and they are all rusted beyond repair.Im also in need of a complete package tray. These parts are for a 71 chevelle

The sheetmetal part you are looking for is not available in a repro. You will have to cut one from a donor car, or have the piece fabricated. The package tray is available from our sponser, Ground Up, or other suppliers of repro parts, and are fairly inexpensive.

Eastwood sells some similarly shaped steel in strips. You'll still have to bend it in a brake. The easier way is to find a good donor car. I think that Sundalls in N.C. will cut it out for you and ship it.

Take a look at the "Getting Closer" picture in my signature if it's the panel over top of the trunk hinges, and between the window that's the "Window Filler Panel" if it's the weather stripping channel you will need too get a donor car.. good thing about that is you can use almost any car that comes close and piece it in.. it's not going too be viewed often and your going too be covering it anyway with weatherstrip.
