I know this will offend purists out there, but is it possible to put the front sheet metal (fenders, hood, bumper, etc) from a 66 chevelle on a 67? I have a 4 door car, so I'm not worried about ruining it's value. I just want to make a fun to drive car from parts I may have available to me.

Thanks.

Mat.

Yep. My first Chevelle was a 67 redone as a 66.

Just remember to grab the core support too.

Because the '67 core support won't work with the '66 sheetmetal. Nor will the inner fenders - you'll need those too.
:beers:

Lol, I think he meant why change a 67 to a 66 or visa versa. I think the answer is because its his car and thats what he wants to do!

I really love the front end of my '66, but I don't like the rear end. I love the rear of the '67, but I'm not crazy about the front end. '66 front end with a '67 rear would be something that I would like to see...

I agree, that would make for a nice car. I dont mind the 66 rear's. I like both fronts, but prefer the 67 rear. If I had to choose 66 or 67, it would be 67.

I always wanted to put a '70 elcamino front on a '69 Chevelle. That was back in the day when both were a dime a dozen. Now I would never even think of ruining a '69 like that. But it would be a Frakinstien
