If you are referring to paint code 17, it is known as 'Shadow Gray' for the 70 Chevelle. You may get more response from that. Did you check the color chart on this site? This little color swatch is a start.

Did y'all know that colors with the same paint code numbers sometimes had different names in Canada than they had in the USA

My 69 is called "Lemans Blue" and in Canada code # 71 is called "Bright Blue Met"
