I just finished repairing the cowel bottoms but I was wondering if there was supposed to be a drain hole to let water out?

If there should be, where is it located and what shape?

there is supposed to be a slot at the very base of the cowl on each side between the two body sections at the weld lip (if that makes sense). It is usually plugged with crap that got into the space via the air intake at the top of the cowl. I took the time to drill some extra holes in the bottom of the cowl chamber before reassembling the clip on my 72 and will do the same with the 70.
