I was wondering if anybody knew of some paint that really looks like chrome for the finshing product. The problem is that I have some rust on my rims and I got a wire brush and got the rust off but the rims are chrome and all I need is some REAL chrome paint. I appreciate anybody for their help.

There is no such thing !!! If anybody tells you there is a paint that will give you anything close to a chrome look they're lieing. Iv'e tried every chrome type paint available, they all blow!! There just aluminum pigmented paints that end up dull.

I agree with mr22 to a point. The closest is from Great Dane Trailers. Ive used it on trailer bumpers. A semi trailer repair shop,or dealer dealing with Great Dane equipment should stock this.

The chrome is actualy plated onto the plastic with a process called vacuum metalization. Mike, M22

Bad66, not exactly sure what you mean. but if its chrome type finish on plastic its a film and not a paint. This might be the first time Ive been wrong today though. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/rolleyes.gif
