My A/C compressor is long gone off of my 69' chevelle. I was wondering if this one on ebay would be the same style.(minus stickers) If not, I have one off of a 69' camaro that has been setting for years... What would be my better option? Have the original camaro compressor rebuilt or buy one of these? I'm trying to keep as much of an original look as possible.

I bought a rebuilt unit from advance auto, For my driver. If you get the same year compressor for a 70 it will look like an org. Paint it the right color and re-decal it will look A-OK Bob ACES--AACA

Thanks Bob! I appreciate the advice. I'll call my local parts store and see what they have for prices. The one on ebay looked like a good price.

Called my local parts store they said they have the compressor in stock if it's the 5" pulley or they can order the 5 3/4" pulley and have it next day.
The 5" is $150 the 5 3/4" is $250... Which one do I need to be original? He said they are both listed for the 396... The rec. drier is $35 and the Expansion valve is $32.
I thought the prices were pretty good and it would be local if I had any probs.
Anybody know what size pulley I need?

Here are some numbers from and old Compressor from my garage.
5" pulley--Model # 5910738
Code # 030301
Charge 3.75
red part of tag #738
I think its from my 454 or an old 396. Hope this helps.

Thanks again Bob, If the pulley is the only difference I didn't understand the $100 difference in price. I think I'll go ahead and get the 5" since that what you found on an original.
I appreciate the help!
By the way, you have a couple of really slick looking 70's!
