: Roof Assy Same for 66 & 67?

I'm going to replace the rusted roof on our 67' 138 car with a replacement roof. The vendor with the replacement says the new part/assy will be from either a 66 or 67. Would any of you be aware of any differences? As I understand it, they are the same from A to B pillar, with the main differences being the fenders, tail coves, etc. All else, including the roof and sails, is considered the same. Any idea if this is true?

Thanks!

GM parts book shows the same "PANEL-Top Roof Outer" for both 66 and 67 2 dr sport coupe ; also same panel for 4-dr station wagon and same panel for 4-dr hardtops between the two years (different for each model of course, but the same for both years). The top panel from GM does NOT extend to the pillars so the quarter 'sails' are not involved.

Guess it depends on just how much sheet metal the vendor is supplying.

Dale,

Thanks! That was some great info. Is this first hand knowledge or is there a production guide that might include this and other related info?

The vendor has agreed to include the sails and the A-Pillars as well, so I would assume it'll be more than we need. One thing is for sure, I'll be glad when its done.

Thanks again!
