I'm swapping a 6 cyl. for a 454. Car currently has a small radiator and 3 bolt cover plate across top of core support. I will be installing a 4 core radiator for the 454 and was wondering weather I need to replace the current core support or just modify it. Opening in core support is sized for air to flow thru to "small" (2 core?) radiator.
Thanx, John

You will want to enlarge the opening in that support. There is a ridge that you can see were the factory would have made the opening for the larger hole. Just cut along that ridge.

I guess I can just run my nibbler along that ridge and smooth out that cut edge, a little POR-15 and I'll be in business. That's great news.
P.S. I just bought an acrylic urethane primer/surfacer (light grey) yesterday and will be spraying in about a week.
Thanks again Sevt_Chevelle !!!
