I was on the Welds website, and didn't see any reference to the XP series of rims. I went to Summit, entered "Welds Pro Star XP" and nothing! What's going on??? Where they cancelled??? Thanks!

I heard awhile ago that Weld Racing filed Chapter 11??
Now that Summit and Jegs has there own version of Weld rims for a bunch less.....who knows?? I do know that Centerline rims went up in price about 60% a rim. I bought my Warriors 2 years ago for I believe $142 for the fronts and $160 for the rears. Now they are up to $230 fronts and $265 rears!!

Yeah, they got bought out by American Racing.

The prices are going up partly because of the higher price of metals! They are stealing cats off of cars parked on the streets because some bring as much as 125.00 each as scrap!

Anyone else know? :)

Sometimes it is easier to ask the folks responsible:

Weld XP series appear to be gone. When I bought my Rodlite XP wheels a couple of years ago at the Kansas City Weld retail store, the guy hinted that they might not be around long. And yes, they were bought by American. Press release......

I got mine off ebay, several years ago, the add said they could not be replaced, but I thought it was because they were prototypes.

So Danny, we got ourselves some "rare" wheels on simialr cars!!!

But you better not get valve covers like mine!!!:D ;) :D

James....did you get the knock-off caps with yours?

My valve covers are an old set of Cal Customs from ebay. They are the fourth different set I've had on mine. Stock chrome.....the late model black ones with the 454 emblem....a set of finned polished aluminum with a 454 emblem on them and now the Cal Customs. Never ends. :D
