i have powerglide and have been thinking of changing to 350 trans. i would like to keep my column shift though. does anyone sell a kit for this (keeping column shift)? or can i do this myself and any details on keeping column shift with this conversion? thanks

With some cutting and welding on the PG linkage I was able to make it work but couldn't get manual 1st gear. Thanks to djw here on TC, I later got a TH350 linkage. I couldn't find a repro'd TH350 column shift linkage for a '69. BTW the only difference between PG and TH350 linkage is the piece that goes between the frame bracket and trans.

so i should just modify my existing pg linkage? i would convert to floor shift if i could find correct 4 speed or factory floor shift collar on steering column. if i modify linkage, will i be able to keep my same shifter and collar? which would be easier? thanks

I used This: http://www.lokar.com/interior_pages/colshiftlink.htm

ACA 1800 column shift linkage kit.

The only weird thing is that the indicator still shows only the positions for the 'glide. I hear there are replacements for that, but I will rarely, if ever look at it expecting it to tell me anything.
