: Finally painted the old problem child
NOTHINBUT69s Apr 11th, 07, 11:35 AM Finally painted the problem child yesterday. After all the paint problems with this thing the last month including yesterday, I sprayed the last (5)coat of clear at 1 this morning. I know 5 coats is more then enough but I dont every want to get back into that wicked paint agian, I dont know what it is but it didnt like being covered.
:hurray: No runs just a few dirt spacks

There's your problem! :D Just kidding, looks great. Reminds me of an old girl I once had.
Is she a vinyl top car?
Chris R Apr 12th, 07, 2:03 AM I know it looks obvious but ill ask anyways. Was it painted right there in the garage?
How did you keep the dust and airborn debris down so it doesnt land on the wet paint? What did you do for ventaliation, just the box fan in the window back there?

Yes, painted were it sits. I use a box fan in both windows with the big garage door open 8-10". I also had everything covered with pastic.
I tack as I go with a tack rag and in between coats, kept the floor and driveway wet. There is some dirt in her but not alot, nothing that 1500 wont take out, but I'm going to wait a few more days and let it cure up before I start that.
Thanks:beers:
Just finished putting the new seat covers on today:hurray:
