The question I have is BLACK a color option for the 72 Chevelle?? The resto book I have does not list black as a color option?? I have found the color code (19 black) listed on this site. I want to pant my 72 black w/white strips. Thanks for your help.

Seems like I remember that either 71 or 72 that black was not listed but available with a special order. They came through with the "- -" paint code.

Black was not available in 1972. I order a 1972 chevelle ss454 in 1972 with black paint and white stripes,factory sent order form back to dealer. said that only the impala was available in black.had to change my order to red with black stripes.
