There are two big questions. Are you doing it yourself and need absolute detail? How far do you want to go? If you are doing it yourself, you will need some type of back half kit like the one Chris Alston sells. His web site is www.chassisworks.com. (http://www.chassisworks.com.) Here is a link to a how to. Yes I know it is a rustang but it should give you an idea. http://www.cachassisworks.com/How%20To/htss1.htm

You need to make a decision about whether or not you want to cut out the frame for more tire clearance. This is the big choice. I don't know exactly how much of a "mini tub" you could get without cutting the frame, but I think it is substantial. If you are going to cut the frame and really back half the car, you will be looking at some $$$. You need a frame kit, narrorwed rear and either someone to do it for you or some skill, patience and a good welder.

have you considerd just buying one already tubbed? after you figure all costs, it sometimes is cheaper and lots quicker to buy a whole car, with or with out drive tran, already done. i would just check into it first is all i am saying.

Art Morrison sells a "fast track" video that shows the whole process being done on a nova. They sell a made to fit rear frame section for a chevelle that will install in a similar way. Even if you don't plan on doing it yourself, it's good to learn all that is involved....
