Hey guys,
What would you recommend?

• Grab a complete front disc/power booster/ set-up from a donor 70 (probably will need servicing)
• Buy a aftermarket disc system where everything is brand spanking new

I don't mind spending more on an aftermarket set-up if it stops the car better than an old reconditioned donor set-up.

Car has drop springs and 17" wheels.

Thanks!

If you are not worried about being orginial, then there are some good after market brake systems that will make braking a lot better. Bigger rotors and twin cylinder calipers. Wheel size will be a factor for the bigger rotors. Four wheel disc is also the way to go. It just depends on the look you are looking fore.

I find it is pretty hard to find a donor setup, then you have to dump all kinds of money. If you dont want anything fancy, just get an aftermarket kit. I found the best price is at www.piratejack.net. That is where I bought mine and I am very happy with it. I think this would be more cost effective than trying to by "correct" and rusted setup.

Hey,
Thanks for the info. So Piratejack ($599) and Matt's ($649) look like the same or are very similiar kits. Since I have to deal with shipping to Hawaii, looks like I will go with Piratejacks, unless anyone can say why Matt's would be better.

Sorry, looked at the details again and looks like the Piratejack kit is unassembled, where the Matts kit is assembled (partially).

Thanks
