Hey guys - The quest continues. I am going to be inspecting a 69 Fremont car this week - supposedly a #s matching 350hp/th400 car. Was wondering if anyone would be willing to share a photo of a known good 1969 freemont vin stamp so I can compare the font/spacing, etc.
Also, did the th400 trans get a vin derivative in 69? Any other tips on identifying the car as a true 69 ss would be appreciated - I have mostly been looking at 68s - so I am not sure about some of the nuances. I know most of the basics - but what is hard to fake?
Did Freemont 69s typically get buildsheets, and if so, what were the typical locations?
PM is fine if you don't want to share this with the world. A quick search will show that I have looked at about 20 different cars this year already, so I am not someone trying to fake an ss - just trying not to get faked :)
