In stripping some of the paint in my driver’s door jamb area I came across this stress crack just below the rain gutter (see link). Is this a common area to crack? Has anyone else had this?

Thanks Phil,
Sorry about the picture, I will try to get a better one. The area is the driver’s side upper door jamb, where the upper rear of the door comes in, I think right where a vinyl top trim would go. Will a good weld all the way to the start of the crack solve the problem? Or what was your fix?

Thanks,
LB
