: I think i made a mistake Welding + Por 15 ?

i used por 15 on the bottom side of the full lenght floor pans and the crossmember. I dont think i can weld threw por 15?? if so will it be toxic? can i remove it with por solvent?

you have to grind it off and then weld it keep a hose near by the solvent wont remove it once its dry

you need to grind it off where you are welding to get good electrical contact. dont know about the fumes.

You don't want to breathe the fumes from Por 15 when welding. It's just as bad or maybe worse than breathing overspray when spraying Por. The Por 15, and any paint for that matter, should be applied after all welding is complete.

Thanks, I por 15 the whole under side of the floor pan, i thought it would be easier to paint outside the car. Grinding down only where i weld will be okay as far as electrical contact right? the fact that the whole underside is painted will not effect conduction?

As long as your ground clamp has good clean metal to grip to, it doesn't make any difference about the rest of the surface. Be sure to wear a respirator.
