hmott Apr 9th, 07, 3:23 PM My guess.. .good luck giving it away.
Widetires22 Apr 9th, 07, 3:45 PM $50 max... and that is if someone will be picking it up.
None ever sell on Ebay for $50 plus shipping...
I know, I have a real nice flat one from a 72. I've watched to see if it has any value for quite some time now.

Car_Freak Apr 9th, 07, 3:49 PM wow, thats it hey. hmm, maybe i should just keep it around for a while than
At one time I had three and couldn't find anyone that would take them for FREE but I finally did sell one for 50 bucks.
Jim Mac Apr 9th, 07, 8:47 PM Phillip (64 el camino) gave me one, that ended up on one of my trucks, The one that was on it, I actually paid 50 bucks for it because I couldn't wait, ended up giving it to the new owner of the 71 chevelle it originally came from, So I guess you could say I rented it for a year. jfman Apr 9th, 07, 9:24 PM I have have mine for sale for $100 for a few months now.
Is it just me or anythime you sell something from these cars it's not worth much but everytime you wan to buy something it costs an arm and a leg..
hmott Apr 9th, 07, 9:59 PM If it was a cowl hood you'd get 100 easy. Everyone is changing flat hoods to SS hoods so lots of flat hoods and not many people want them.
Car_Freak Apr 9th, 07, 11:19 PM jfman, i couldnt agree more. My plan was to put a aftermarket cowl hood on the car, i've got 2 flat ones now.
72 malibu Apr 10th, 07, 9:58 AM I am thinking of getting a dual 4 highrise set up and cut my flat hood to use it for something.Had it now since 1990...
Widetires22 Apr 10th, 07, 3:15 PM I was going to put some kind of radical scoop on the flat hood I have and get an extra trunk lid too to put a spoiler on. Then, certain years I would take the original SS hood and deck lid off and put these other parts on to give it a different look. Maybe mod wheels to complete the different look also.
I'm pretty sure now that I won't end up messing with it ever...
