: Front Vent window needs replacing

Hey guys,

To make a long story short, I was driving in a bad part of town over spring break, and some 17 year old punk threw a brick at my car, luckily the only damage it did was to shatter the glass in the right front vent window (the little triangle shaped one in front of the main window). The frame that the window sits in is fine, not bent or anything, only the glass needs replacing. I was wondering if any of you would know any good places to look for the glass that would be decently priced. I drive a 67 Buick Skylark GS. I know its a not a chevelle, but its a GM A-body, and the lines are VERY similar, so i dont know of the glass would be the same dimensions, or if theres a big enough difference in the body styles. Even if there IS a difference, I figure someplace that would have the window for a chevelle would probably stock it for the other GM A-bodys as well. Any help would be MUCH appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

Corey if it's the same as a chevelle,I pretty sure I have one laying around somewhere. It's clear glass.I would give it to ya just for the shipping.Mine is for the pass. side.Let me know and I'll see if I can find it and see what kind of shape it's in.

Corey...exactly what were you doing in that part of town? Normally the locals won't mess with you unless you mess with them!!

Glad to hear you're ok...

One thing to check... I have a 70 nova door that has the vent window... any idea if they would be the same?

Email me if you can get measurements or something and I'll check it.

Hey guys,

Well, I was actually with my girlfriend on my way back from teh BEST strip club in all of the Tampa Bay area, Ybor Strip. Yes, I have the COOLEST girlfriend in teh world, she will actually go to strip clubs with me. And since I'm sure none of YOU guys go to strip clubs, theyre generally not in the quanit downtown sections, but in the raunchier naeighborhoods. And when the brock went through the window, it nailed Katelyn (my girl) right in the neck, so while she was calling the cops, i was stopping the car and proceeded to try and beat the **** out of him. Not so much for hurting my car, as for hurting her (I know, my priorities are messed up, i thought about my girl BEFORE my car, I'm sorry http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif ). Luckily for him (and me from a legal standpoint) the cops were only about a block away and got there before I could do some severe damage. And the attack was COMPLETELY unprovoked, we were just driving by, the only thing that could have sparked it was that we were obvious non-locals (white guy in a nice car in a predominantly colored neighboorhood). so yeah, thats the story behind it. I am trying to find out if any of those windows you guys have would fit, does anyone out there know if they would, or know of any good places to find out? I really need to get this taken care of soon, so ANY help would be appreciated. Thanks again.

Hey CFR,

Thanks for teh offer. Is there any way you can e-mail me some pictures of the window you have? If you can't I have some pictures of the hole where mine USED to be that i can e-mail you and maybe that could help you out in seeing if they are the same. If you want to, my e-mail address is c04corey.lynch@usafa.af.mil I would appreciate the help. Thanks again.
