Seems I may have an issue with headers and the kickout pan that came with the motor. The Transadapt is the only summit option. Any issues with this. Read about replacing the hoses and non angled fittings but that is about it.

Not many locations on the drivers side.

I put a Mr Gasket unit on my 86 Monte SS for the same reasons, headers and kicked out sump. The hardest part was finding a suitable place to mount it.Once we found that and routed the lines we realised they were too close to the headers,so we made some brackets, made some stainless studs for the oil pan bolt holes, attached the brackets to the studs, ran the lines through the brackets, and the lines are neatly held from getting too close to the headers. We also wrapped the lines with some old spark plug boot protectors that I had,cut and tie wrapped over the oil lines.Up in the engine compartment I put wire loom over the lines to prevent chafing. Also after we found a suitable mounting location(behind the headlights) I found a peice of sheet metal(forget what thickness) and cut it to use as a reinforcement plate behind the sheet metal the mount was bolted to.Just follow the directions regarding bends, and you should be OK.

I had the Mr, Gasket one on my 70 because of the same problems ( kick out sump pan headers and bellhousing ) the only sugestion I have is use good hoses (Steel braided) and fittings. The reason I say that is last summer on my way home from a trip out east I blew one of hoses that came with the kit luckly I was looking in the mirror when it let go and saw all the smoke,so the only thing that haptained was a engine compartment full of oil, undercarage all the way to the 1/4 panels ride home on a flat bed and days of cleaning. I have since changed out the pan so I can get rid of the relocator. I was able to mount mine between the steering box and radiator support I dont know if it will fit there on a 67?

I have a remote oil filter on my 67. I used aeroquip socketless 90* fittings and ran the hoses along the pan rail then through 2 brackets that I made and bolted to the oil pan bolts under the oil pan to a bracket I made and bolted to the passenger side and have the filter in the inside frame rail next to the lower rad hose. I'll post pics when I get back from the garage.

Yeah, if the motor did not already have the kickout I would'nt be using it. Should have switched pans before I sold the other motor. Blowing hoses sounds like a bad situation, Thought Mr G might be better quality than Trans Adapt.

Blowing a hose would definitely ruin your day.. I should have switched pans before I sold my old motor, Otherwise I would not have a kickout.

Rick, photos would be nice. How long hae you ran the aeroquip and which relocator did you end up using.

the hose I used was aeroquip 250 psi socketless hose. it took 10 feet.

the 2 silver brackets bolt up with the oil pan bolts and the hoses are clamped to the bottomof the brackets.

the bracket that holds the filter mount to the frame is 1/8" thick steel with a gusset to stiffen it.

I used 1/2 pipe to #10 adapters and then 90 degree and straight fittings. Using 90's at the filter mount would work better but I used what I had. All the kits I looked at had straight fittings in them so I bought some pieces of ebay and built my own. Here is a website for aeroquip hoses. http://www.aeroquiphose.biz/ Earl's also has high pressure hose too. They call it super stock hose http://www.anplumbing.com/shop/index.php? I used this type on the block with 2 adapter fittings http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Moroso-Oil-FIlter-By-pass-kit-for-V-8-Chevy-BBC-SBC_W0QQitemZ330106470264QQihZ014QQcategoryZ46098Q QssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
