I have a holley carb that looks like it has white"mold" on it! I what does this mean? It the carb trash, or just in nned of a heavy duty cleaning?...
Also..what can I use to seal the carb lines where they screw in? I KNOW that teflon tape doesn't work......thanks for your input

White mold probably from sitting in a damp area. Don't use thread sealer on double flared connections or they'll leak. If you use tape or thread sealer the flared end will not be able to make a good seal because of the goo on the threads.
PS you don't use thread sealer on brake fluid
flared connections do you I hope not.

If flared lines leak after installation and still leak after "reasonable" retightening, the flare is probably cracked. You shouldn't have to tighten flared lines with a cheater pipe to get them to stop leaking. No sealer is needed for a good flared line connection.
