@ year one the 69 is $100 cheaper than the 68, both are YOCLASS 2. and sem almost identical... so whats the difference boys? (and girls)
Reson i need to know is that my seemingly boundless inexperience let me nail a carport Today and it put a couge + Dent into the RH Fender, a couge in the header panel, and a ding in the bumper graemlins/angry.gif
Oh well. I'll fix her up better than new, as soon as im financialy able.

Thank you. it seems it would be worth the trouble to drill holes and switch to the 69 fenders and save myself 200 bxu

You know those fenders are still available from GM in a limited supply. You'll need the part numbers. Do a search on 68 part numbers on here and you should be able to find them. If not let me know via email and I can get them for you(I have 2 NOS fenders waiting for my pro Street).I know www.GMpartsdirect.com (http://www.GMpartsdirect.com) had some and they were $376 shipped to my door. I believe the 69s at Year One are repops. have you talked to a bodyshop to see if the ones on the car can be repaired cheaper than buying new? Also how old is the year one catalog you are looking at? The web catalog (www.yearone.com) shows the 69s as being more expensive.
EDIT: I just noticed you are in Cali. I believe the Chevy dealer in/near Clear Lake might have some fenders as they ordered a couple extra to get me a real nice one when I banged up Old Blue a couple of years ago. It has been awhile but it can't hurt to check. Might try www.partsvoice.com (http://www.partsvoice.com) too.

If memory serves me, I believe the 68 is different than the 69 where the eyebrow molding and headlight bezel attaches at the top. I think the inner structure in the front of the fender is different.
The 68 eyebrow molding is shorter. You'd have problems mounting that molding using a 69 fender.
