Do you know of anyone reproducing the tailgate panel that bolts into the interior side of the tailgate? Or, maybe where to finad a straight one?

The original panel was there, but suffered from being used as a truck with multiple dents, many, many actually. I found a piece of 3/4 X 2" steel about 6 inches long and used it as a dolly to pound the raised rigdes back to straight on the garage floor. It's amazing how straight it turned out, and even with a real slick paint job it's real nice cosmetically with only minor body work after the beating. You might have to use that approach. Keep an eye on ebay. I've seen them there before. Also, watch the classifieds here on Team Chevelle. 68 through 72 should interchange. Log on and check it out their prices seem resonable. I dont know if it is made in USA but its worth a shot. I'm not quite that far yet but I also have a 69 El Camino ss 396.
