OrrieG Apr 7th, 07, 12:03 AM Garage sale tomorrow and I have 4 new Rancho shocks, shiney new brake lines and fittings to install on the truck and about 6 hours of "work" work to do. This week I hired 3 people and spent 15K on computers, software, phones and other misc. stuff to give them someplace to work when they show up over the next 3 weeks. No stress in my life >:^{

Patrick,
After you get your work done, take some time and relax.....Your business is booming and you need to take a few minutes and just think about you, not cars or business, it will all be there after you rest a bit.
Besides, if you came out to help me, it would not be as big of a surprise when I finish it up.
ACES-70 Apr 7th, 07, 10:06 AM Cranky,,We appreciate it, and hope to here from you soon. Dont hurt yourself this weekend :)
jtm60 Apr 7th, 07, 10:24 AM I know what Carl is doing this weekend....
yeah me too...he will spend a whole bunch of time finding out about the poor fit of many of the parts he just received, followed by more time deciding whether to pick up the phone or 'field modify' to fit. excitement will quickly turn to frustration. in the end, the parts will get on the car, but its never as easy as it should be.
not trying to be negative, just keepin' it real. hope your experience is better than mine (and many others' here).

I appreciate your candor and I know nothing is perfect, but all in all their customer service and speedy shipping has me impressed, if the prices fit any where close I will be more than happy, besides wouldn't you feel funny if I put in the sound deadener, carpet, back panel and side sails without a hitch.
I will post in the interior section as I get closer, I am still pulling up the old sound proofing from the last carpet install maybe circa 1965...lol
chevguy65 Apr 7th, 07, 2:16 PM Dont hurt yourself this weekend :)
Now you tell me...lol...one back surgery and afraid another one in my future...no one told me this was hard work...lol:clonk:
OrrieG Apr 8th, 07, 6:50 PM I should have helped you. After Saturday afternoon (4 hours) and this morning (4 hours) I have the front brackets fabed and ready for paint. In the process I burned up a $17 drill bit and the motor on my drill press. I can't get the pulley off the motor so will have to pay some one to do that so I don't screw it up. The DP is 30+ years old so not really to blame.
Carl, you are right and I have down time scheduled. I will get 20+ days of guilt free car evenings and weekends in May when the wife goes to stay with my daughter in New Mexico when the new grand son is born. We will need to get together one of the week ends.
And I have 10 days scheduled at the start of August with old childhood best friend at a ranch 10 mile from Canadian border and next to west border of Glacier Park. I was on board for that one when the directions to the ranch read "only 50 mile north of Kalispell but allow for 1.5 - 2 hours travel time due to road primitive conditions". Also out of cell phone range and no computer hook ups.
Patrick
chevguy65 Apr 8th, 07, 7:45 PM Patrick,
I am glad your going to take some time off, those 90 hour weeks are murder.
I would have gladly let you help me, but I am almost ready to lay down the sound deadener and then next weekend the interior goes back in.
Definately let me know in May when we can get together.
I look forward too it. Hopefully by then Greg will be ahead on his honeydo-s and the three amigos can get their cars out and go play somewhere.
chevguy65 Apr 15th, 07, 5:47 PM Only one bummer, sound deadner went in fine carpet going in fine, back panel good fit.....but wait, where are my side sails.... :( They did not come!!!
Now I am about ready to run it in to install the motor and my interior is not complete :( :(
