If a rectangular drivers side remote mirror is correct for 68, is the standard round mirror correct for the passenger side? :confused:

Right side mirrors were dealer installed, so I guess there wouldn't be any "rules" about what shape it should be. Seems to me, it should be rectangular, right?:confused: Did Chevy have rect. mirrors in 68, on other models??:confused:

On '68 Chevelles the standard rearview mirror was round. The optional remote controlled rearview mirror had a rectangular head. Since the passenger's side mirror was dealer installed they could match up with the driver's side with whatever. It would be unusual to find a remote controlled passenger mirror in that era however. A RHS remote controlled passenger mirror became a factory option for '75.
