: Budnik Wheels... Online pricing???
1966_L78 Apr 4th, 07, 4:47 PM I just bought a car with Budnik wheels (17" TuskII), and I am trying to find an approximate price/value...
Anyone know of an on-line source that has prices listed? Or is that not available with Budniks?
Thanks...

what did you buy Tony.......I though you were putting the 66 money into restoring the SS? To quote the McDonalds commercial:
Wife: 'I hope you like what you've done to the dog house'
Husband: 'We don't own a dog.....'

Actually, My goal/intention for selling my '66 convertible was to be able to afford to get started on the 66 hardtop AND buy another car... I had a list of other cars I was interested in, and the car I bought was near/at the top of that list...
the new car is a 1970 Chevelle Malibu (although I wanted an SS or clone)... this one does have a new SS hood (unpainted). It has a bench seat/column shift, but a decent interior. It also has a 427 small block (aftermarket block), alum heads, TH400 trans and a Fab9 rearend (Ford 9"). It also has factory disc brakes and working A/C... It could use paint, so I am looking into a quickie/cheap paint job...
I figured (and my wife basically agreed) that it will take several years for me to get the '66 nice and driveable, and so I "needed" another car in the meantime to have fun, go to cruises, etc...
I figured I could budget up to $15K for a car (I paid $12K), and use the rest for the '66. I also figured in a few years, I can sneak some more money into the budget ;) , but that $13K + (I sold the vert for $28K+) would get a nice start on the '66 (I already had alot of pieces sitting around)...
As a bonus, the '70 came with an extra '71 12-bolt posi (needs brakes, axles and some small parts. was rebuilt, but axles were left out and had some rusting, so I passed on them and will get new ones. Since I don't have wheels yet, I figured maybe the LS1 brakes would be better on thios rear, rather than my "correct" '66 rear. Just have to order my BS accordingly...
The wife is okay at this point, but now I have 2 projects, and not enough time for even 1 :(
MJRIBEIRO Apr 5th, 07, 1:21 PM Congrats Tony! You need to post some pictures.

GSOUPME Apr 6th, 07, 2:03 AM I just ordered my new wheels from Budnik. I talked to Jason at Budnik and met him at the Good Guys show a couple of weeks ago. He is a cool guy if you call he will probably answer any questions you have.
