Looks like it is worth $4500.00 all day, I would def. look it over real good before putting any coin down.

WOW.. I would jump ALL over that. Thats such a great deal it could be a scam, be careful.

Looks like a steal, but I wouldn't buy any car sight unseen. The steal might not be in your favor.

I'm pretty sure it was for sale a year ago but the seller changed his mind right after listing it. If I remember correctly he was only an hour away.

I thought the price was right but I've never had a second gen Camaro.

Thanks!

Around here I would expect a 70 big block running car with nice paint and good interior to be in the $8k and up range.

I'd post your question over on the 2nd gen site... www.nastyz28.com I'm leaning toward scam, nice 2nd gen cars are bringing a lot these days...

He finally emailed back that it might be sold. I told him I was VERY VERY interested and to email right away if it's available. No phone number or address but I'm sure it's within 100 miles. I'm waiting..........

Well, he did say he planned to redo the car, so I would assume it needs to be restored. If the rear frame rails, floors and most metal are solid, it's definately worth the asking price. If that was a turn key car with no rust and nice paint it wouldn't go any cheaper than 15k. The 2nd gen Camaros are really coming up in price, especially the 70-73's. That 15k might be on the low side for a really nice one.

I sold this 70 Camaro (more pics in yahoo photos) for 12k in July 2005. It had a mild 350, th350, nothing special at all. It even had some mud in the quarters, doors, and other places! The frame rails, trunk, and floors were all perfect though and it looked really clean.

And no, I didn't sell it to someone who didn't know cars. The guy who bought it was planning on building a big block car and has since redone the whole thing! He said he was tired of looking at junk with too many rust issues.

I'd be all over that car for $4500 if the floors and subframes where nice

Let him know you have cash and are ready to go now, it may move things to your favor.

Phil,

I love that car! I'd trade my 71 convert for a split bumper camaro any day, and it would end up orange. :D

Yeah, I miss the Camaro, but if I didn't sell it I wouldn't of got my Chevelle. :)

Maybe someday I'll be able to afford and shelter 2 muscle cars. :(

It really wasn't a split bumper car, it was supposed to have the full bumper instead. The color was torch red, but as you can see, under certain light conditions it did look orange.

Not a question its well worth that. Go get it before someone else does. Unless its too late of course.
